Bắt đầu từ một bước ngoặt không ai ngờ tới, Yen Ryall từng theo học ngành y tại Việt Nam trước khi chuyển đến Úc định cư năm 2009. Những khó khăn ban đầu khi tìm kiếm việc làm nơi đất khách đã vô tình đưa chị đến với nghề nail – một ngành khi đó vẫn còn khá mới mẻ. Nhờ năng khiếu hội họa sẵn có, chị nhanh chóng ghi điểm trong mắt người tuyển dụng và từ đó, bén duyên sâu sắc với nghề.
[Her story started in a pretty unexpected way. Back in Vietnam, Yen studied pathologist. Then in 2009, she moved to Australia. At first, finding a job in a new country was tough. By chance, she came across the nail industry – something quite new to her back then. But with her natural talent for art, she quickly made a good impression, and before she knew it, she had completely fallen for the craft.]
[“I had just had my baby, so I was mostly at home. I decided to learn nails in my spare time. The more I learned, the more I loved it – and here I am, 15 years later,” she laughs. In 2013, she entered her first professional competition and won. The following years saw her opening one salon after another – in 2014, 2016, and then again in 2022. In Perth’s Vietnamese community, Yen’s name has become a symbol of creativity, high standards, and always pushing forward.]
Vừa qua, Yen Ryall trở lại Việt Nam trong vai trò giám khảo của cuộc thi NailPro Competitions Asia Vietnam 2025. Đây là lần đầu tiên sân chơi đẳng cấp quốc tế này được tổ chức tại Việt Nam, quy tụ hàng trăm tài năng trẻ từ khắp nơi trên đất nước. “Chị thật sự bất ngờ và hạnh phúc khi thấy các bạn trẻ Việt Nam quá giỏi, quá sáng tạo. Kỹ thuật tốt, tư duy hiện đại – Việt Nam đang từng bước khẳng định vị thế trên bản đồ nail thế giới.”
[Not long ago, Yen came back to Vietnam to be a judge at NailPro Competitions Asia Vietnam 2025 – a huge international event held in Vietnam for the first time, bringing together hundreds of young talents. “I was so impressed. The young Vietnamese artists are incredibly skilled and creative. Their techniques are sharp, their ideas are fresh – Vietnam is really making a mark in the nail world,” she shared with pride.]

Dừng kinh doanh để dạy nghề: Chọn lối đi riêng để truyền cảm hứng [Leaving the Business to teach: Taking her own path to inspire]
Dù từng điều hành nhiều cơ sở nail thành công, Yen Ryall đã quyết định rẽ lối sang lĩnh vực giảng dạy – một bước đi đầy nhân văn và táo bạo. Chị chia sẻ: “Làm nghề giúp mình có kinh nghiệm, nhưng truyền nghề mới là điều khiến mình tìm lại được chính mình. Dạy học giúp mình tập trung hơn, cân bằng cuộc sống và có thời gian cho gia đình”.
[Even after running several successful nail salons, Yen Ryall decided to take a different turn and focus on teaching – a move that’s both bold and deeply meaningful. She shares, ‘Working in the salon gave me experience, but teaching… that’s what really helped me find myself again. It keeps me focused, gives me balance, and lets me have more time for my famil.]
Trong vai trò người truyền nghề, chị không chỉ dạy kỹ thuật mà còn truyền động lực và cảm hứng cho học viên. “Đừng để nỗi sợ ngăn cản bạn bước đi. Nếu bạn không tin vào chính mình, thì ai sẽ tin bạn?” – đó là lời nhắn chị thường gửi gắm đến những ai còn chần chừ theo đuổi nghề nail.
[As a mentor, she doesn’t just teach techniques – she also passes on motivation and inspiration to her students. ‘Don’t let fear hold you back. If you don’t believe in yourself, who will?’ is the message she often shares with those still hesitating to follow a career in nails.]
Chị chia sẻ đầy hy vọng: “Chị tin, chỉ cần có đam mê và được dẫn dắt đúng hướng, bất cứ ai cũng có thể thành công trong nghề nail. Trung tâm của chị không chỉ là nơi học nghề, mà còn là nơi nuôi dưỡng niềm tin và khơi nguồn cảm hứng sống.”
[She shared with a hopeful smile: “I believe that if you’ve got passion and the right guidance, you can make it in nails. My center isn’t just about learning the skills – it’s about building confidence and sparking inspiration for life.”]
